AIM OF ESTABLISHMENT
INDIA-AIDS was founded with a heartfelt mission: to support and care for individuals suffering from AIDS during a time when the disease was rising rapidly in India and resources were scarce. The organization provided critical support through awareness drives, medical linkages, counseling, and community engagement. Our name—INDIA-AIDS—honors this legacy of compassion, public health service, and human dignity.
As global advancements in treatment, awareness, and access to life-saving medication for AIDS began to take shape, INDIA-AIDS responded by expanding its vision to serve other vulnerable populations. Deeply moved by the condition of widows in slums and underprivileged children, we widened our scope to include education, women’s empowerment, and livelihood creation through skill-based initiatives.
Today, INDIA-AIDS has become a multifaceted NGO working across India in the areas of Health, Education, Environment, and Empowerment, while maintaining its foundational values of service, equality, and inclusion. We run vocational training centers, organize awareness campaigns, support green drives and plantation efforts, and assist young talents in sports and culture.
Our recent efforts include collaborations on wall beautification projects through CSR, conducting workshops on plastic segregation, and promoting ‘Waste to Wealth’ models that empower communities and encourage sustainability.
Guided by General Secretary Smt. Archana Shrivastava, INDIA-AIDS continues to evolve while remaining rooted in empathy, action, and the vision of building an inclusive and compassionate society for all.
