At INDIA-AIDS, we believe that connecting people with nature is vital for both personal well-being and environmental sustainability. Our Gardening and Plant Life vocational training course is designed to equip underprivileged individuals—especially women and youth—with practical skills in gardening, nursery care, herbal plant cultivation, and basic landscaping.
Through hands-on sessions and field activities, participants learn how to grow medicinal and ornamental plants, maintain green spaces, prepare compost, and care for indoor/outdoor gardens. The course also includes lessons on vermicomposting, vertical gardens, and eco-friendly pest control techniques.
This initiative has been especially impactful in promoting eco-awareness, teaching students how green spaces can be developed even in small urban areas. Many trainees go on to manage terrace gardens, school gardens, or become caretakers in parks and colonies, turning their passion into a livelihood.
We also engage learners in activities like plantation drives, Rashi gardens, and campaigns such as “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, which have helped plant thousands of saplings in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH and other CSR partners.
In a world battling pollution and climate change, INDIA-AIDS proudly fosters green warriors—those who not only grow plants but also grow hope, health, and harmony in their communities.
