✨ Honouring a Legacy: Death Anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji

On 6th July 2025, INDIA-AIDS NGO solemnly observed the death anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji, the visionary leader, social reformer, and a true champion of equality and justice. The day was marked with dignity, remembrance, and a renewed commitment to his ideals through a well-orchestrated event held at the NGO’s central campus.


🕯️ A Day of Reflection and Purpose

The event brought together over 150 attendees, including community leaders, social workers, educators, beneficiaries, and students. The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and garlanding of Babuji's portrait, followed by a soulful recitation of bhajans and tributes.

Speeches by senior members of the NGO, including Mrs. Archana Shrivastava, General Secretary of INDIA-AIDS, highlighted the lifelong contributions of Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji towards uplifting the Dalit community, promoting social equality, and fighting for constitutional justice. His role in shaping modern India and advocating for the marginalized continues to inspire INDIA-AIDS’s mission.


🎖️ Awards & Recognitions

As a tribute to Babuji’s legacy of service and empowerment, INDIA-AIDS honored 10 individuals with "Seva Samman Awards" for their exceptional contributions in the fields of education, social welfare, women empowerment, and environmental work. The awardees included both senior citizens and young changemakers who have worked quietly at the grassroots level.


🧘 Cultural Tributes & Community Lunch

The celebration also featured inspirational poems, a documentary screening on Babu Jagjivan Ram’s life, and a vibrant cultural segment by students of the NGO’s tuition program. A community lunch (bhoj) was organized for all participants and guests, emphasizing the spirit of unity and service that Babuji lived by.


🌱 Continuing the Legacy

The event concluded with a collective pledge by the attendees to uphold the values of equality, education, and justice in their daily lives and work. INDIA-AIDS reaffirmed its dedication to empowering the underprivileged and marginalized, just as Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji envisioned.
