Date:Â 21st June 2025
Venues:Â Vegas Mall, Dwarka & INDIA-AIDS NGO Center, Delhi
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, INDIA-AIDS NGO organized vibrant yoga celebrations at two major locations â the buzzing Vegas Mall in Dwarka and the serene campus of our own NGO center. The events echoed the global theme of âYoga for Self and Societyâ, emphasizing not only personal well-being but also collective harmony through ancient Indian wellness practices.
đ§ââď¸ Vegas Mall: Public Participation Meets Wellness
The Vegas Mall event was a lively and interactive session held in collaboration with mall authorities and community partners. Yoga instructors led attendees through a series of asanas, breathing techniques (pranayama), and guided meditation, designed for all age groups â from enthusiastic children to senior citizens. The mallâs central atrium became a peaceful hub of unity and mindfulness.
Passersby and shoppers were drawn in by the open, inclusive format of the event, many choosing to spontaneously join in. The crowd witnessed demonstrations of simple yoga routines for daily stress relief, suitable for modern urban lifestyles.
đż NGO Center: Inner Peace and Community Bonding
At the INDIA-AIDS NGO Center, the Yoga Day celebration was more intimate but equally impactful. Students from our vocational training programs, local residents, women participants from our health and empowerment drives, and staff members came together on the occasion.
The session began with a short talk by Mrs. Archana Shrivastava, General Secretary of INDIA-AIDS, highlighting yogaâs transformative power â especially for mental strength, discipline, and holistic living. A trained yoga teacher then led the group in a series of accessible postures and meditation techniques, followed by a discussion on how to include yoga in daily household routines.
đ The Spirit of the Day
The dual celebration reflected the spirit of oneness, wellness, and cultural pride, underlining INDIA-AIDSâs commitment to holistic development â be it physical health, emotional resilience, or community upliftment.
Participation certificates, herbal plant giveaways, and healthy refreshments rounded off the event, reinforcing the message that health is truly wealth.
